1. I experience a lot more 12/0 wipe rofl stomps since you changed it. 19 out of the 22 games tonight were wipes, 15 being defeat wipes. So no, it's not funny or fun.
2. My average waiting time is up by 1~2 minutes.
3. I now experience failed to find matches AGAIN in my heavies/assaults.

The maximum elo adjustment should not have been adjusted to 1400. If it's not going to change. I will be submitting a ticket then and report this as a bug. Because it is downright unacceptable that I am not allowed to play half of the mechs I've collected, especially hero mechs.

its alright, the brilliant solution was to increase the range of the ELO so you can be matched with even worse players than before so there's a higher chance the enemy team has as many clueless people as yours.

Never mind premades all drop in assaults and your noobs are running SHS mechs.

They had to throw the "elite" a bone so they can "practice" by stomping people that aren't using the super meta builds and playing whack-a-mole, or something like that. Whatever helps ones ego I suppose.

I don't know about you guys, but I am just not seeing much of a difference this week. And that's coming from a purely solo player.

I must really be in Elo heaven. ;)

I see much closer games on average. I haven't seen nearly as many stomps.

So it's too narrow which means you can't get matches, and when you do get a match it's too wide a margin thus allowing roflstomps?

Ummmm....... ;)

I experience a better Matchmaking after the recent adjustments.
More close games, better entertainment.

No...they had to do something so the 'elite' do not continue getting multiple 'FAIL TO FIND MATCH'es as was the case for a while there.

So highest elo is something like 2800 and Paul set it to allow up to 2000 difference. This means you get matched with anything but the bottom 5%. Now he made it 1000 meaning you get matched with the top 50% or so. Almost like turning ELO off. Seems the only point was to stop new players from playing top. For those in the middle, you will play everyone.

Too bad there is no tonnage matching because I think that is main reason for stomps right now.

Kneejerk reaction for getting called out by Jagger something on the ngng podcast..

You don't tweak or balance out of kneejerk... I thought they had all the data?!

JagerXII's comment and the Elo change wasn't kneejerk. It was very common for high elo players to be completely unable to drop at certain times of the day, and Jager had multiple videos to prove it. Literally 45 minutes of failed to find match.

It is a valid issue yes.

However, PGIs reaction is kneejerk because they made live and immediate tweaks to the matchmaker without proper testing.

Guys there isn't much that can honestly be done.

The elo and matchmaker are a imperfect solution to a seriously borked problem.

The devs are trying to combine pre-mades with coms (who sometimes pug) with pugs (who most of the time are pugs because they can't or don't want to use coms).

For this type of game you simply will never get enough pre-mades to maintain the daily game and or have a stable pre-made only mode.

So they must be combined. And that will always create a problem.

I think it's important to note that just because it can extend far doesn't mean you're going to reliably match against people with 1000 less Elo than you. Matchmaker is always trying to match you with people at your Elo score, it just gets more flexible down the road after a few minutes of searching.
