Does any one else do the chair wiggle to get away from fire lol ? I mean like move right and left in a somewhat violent motion as if you could avoid in coming fire and make the mech move faster. It is quit funny, or so my wife has told me

Very early on I did that a lot. It was back when the game was in closed beta and even moving around in a Hunchback really made it feel like a 50 ton mech instead of a race car, and the typical Atlas build was about 30 kph and felt like a behemoth that could take punishment forever even with half the armor and structure health we have now (the current armor and health of a Hunchback is what the Atlas had).

Even better, back then when the Centurions first came out, marching at 52 kph, twisting the torso to the right to raise the shield and aiming left with the arm to shoot under/over the shield while 'marching' up to an enemy made me feel incredible. In fact it was exhilarating the first time I did that while close enough to catch up to a slower Hunchback. I literally knocked him over by ramming him and a few seconds later tripped.

I even used stealth tactics like leaping off a cliff and then cutting off the engine, making the other person think I had died and literally leaning forward to look 'higher' up from the cockpit viewport to see if the guy is giving up his search yet.

I do miss those days.

Sounds like watching my mom play Super Mario Bros. back in the day, as she tried to make Mario move by moving the controller.

I stand guilty of this, it usually happens after a solid session. Twisting my swivel-chair to the right to catch the incoming on my left arm....

...Why am i looking at a wall? Where did the battlefield go??

For some reason I do it most in my Griffins.

I think it's the view. You can really see things coming at you.

My favorite is the head/body lean for any racing game.

If I tilt my body harder I must turn faster! Don't forget to rotate the controller either! Lol.

There are people who don't do this?

Man, I duck, I lean, I lift out of my seat jumping sometimes...none of it's intentional.

I lean forward when before remembering I need to push a button to zoom sometimes, but I do not THINK I do the wiggle....

Pugging (at my very nearly obviously low elo of course) that is still sometimes quite viable.

Oh it is. But it depends on what against. But at those speeds it isn't anymore.

I admit to doing this in MWO - desperately trying to get round a corner or get my guns on a pesky light....

I have a habit of lowering my body position in my chair as I speed up as if to somehow affect the aerodynamics of my mech and squeeze another couple of kph out of it. I'll also admit to ducking to avoid incoming fire :(

Wha?

Waaait a minute.......are you saying none of that helps?

What about pressing the 'w' key hard enough to produce diamonds to get that last bit of speed you KNOW is in there? What about that?

If you think that is bad.. try a barrel role in a flight sim :)
