OH oh! I can play this game too!

Turn a bit to the right and...

Being bad in certain spots doesn't make the entire game grainy.

Cockpit glass is plain horrible, it makes everything look grainy.
I may as well play 3rd person only from now on except I hate that mode.

That was said the same day they put it on the test server. It's just people would rather start 50 threads about it instead of accepting the fact that PGI has already said "You guys are right, it's a bit much and we're going to tone it down"

Case in point.....

Guys seriously, how often does it happen that something is perceived by many as "bad" only to have PGI say "We agree, we'll be adjusting it on (insert date here)" and have 50 threads pop up talking about how "PGI doesn't listen" "PGI is horrible" "PGI needs to fix this, they never listen to us"

Seriously....

So if I understand this right, on the day it was put on the test server they said "yeah we agree with you" and then rolled it out to the main game anyway with a promise to tone it down the patch after that?

Some people would say they would have preferred being listened to in the first instance I guess?

But it is pleasing to see them willing to step back with some promptness on this one on the basis of community feedback alone. I give them a thumbs up for that.

The major issue I have with cockpit glass is that it lowers my frame rate a good 4-9 frames depending on the map. It's bad enough I drop from 70fps to 20ish during a heated firefight, but the glass issue just makes it worse. I'm glad they are doing something to fix it but will reserve final judgement for after testing how the new version effects my fps.

Something I will watch for in the future Lockwood. I haven't paid much attention to frame rates lately. :(

Yeah I noticed it the other night while my bro was playing. I envy him sometimes for not getting irked over little issues that have always been pet peeves to me.

I am piloting a CDA-2B (22,500 ish points to master still) and TBH I see what people are talking about but when the fight starts I phase it out totally. It's like my brain shuts it out and all I see is red after that. Dunno, maybe my brain is painted red and not green.

What if your enemy was a little bit to the left instead of the right? :)

Anyone else feel that if Cockpit glass was in from the start, we would have loved it and never have batted an eyelid?

This is quite possible because then we wouldn't have noticed the frame rate drop either.

I hate it. I would understand if I took damage it start looking like junk. But it shouldn't look bad at the start of the game.

I would have made my one complaint even if it had. The sky bobs in a unnatural sometimes. Can I get around it? Yeah. Do I like it? No.
