I was playing with my Battlemaster S with 4 LRM 10s.

Problem: firing the LRMs on HPG Manifold would cause most of them to explode before 100m.

This has never happened before and I do not know if it will happen again but if it does happen now then it could happen again.

No mater where I was on the map or at any angle the LRMs 80%+ would explode by the time the reached 100m. Both when something was targeted and when it was not. Whether the LRMs were chained or alphed they still exploded. I tried my best to get a screen shot. In this one you can see that 1 of the 2 volleys of 10 missiles was continuously exploding to about 50m (V4) out then the other volley of 10 seems to have all blown up together at about 75m (V3) out. Funny thing is though, You can clearly see that the left two volleys are untouched (V1 + V2). Once in a while a volley would get through but most 80%+ did not.

Thank you for your time.

In that screenshot there is an enemy 'mech very close to you. Was he, perchance, below you/behind high cover ?
If so his(and other's) AMS might have picked of alot of your LRMs through that cover, wich makes the tracers of those AMS-rounds disappear sometimes.

Keep in mind that the recent Command Chair post put out that AMS does 3.5 points of damage to a volley of missiles per second....LRMs have 1 hp each. So, depending on the amount of time your cloud was in range of AMS, you could have lost 7-13 missiles. AMS has become significantly more effective recently.

The ams still goes off, I'm not sure if they are hitscan or just a roll for intercept (i.e. if obstacles actually prevent ams shooting them down).

Also there could be other enemy mechs around that aren't on radar.

It could also be celestial bodies are closer than they look :)

Its obvious whats happening if you look at the mini map

its not the AMs though its a pretty good reason why the missiles might be getting hit.

Whats happening is your facing the edge of the map your missiles are going out of bounds and exploding
