Do you think they (PGI) will cut our armour in half again?

I would LOVE that.

I hope not. It would turn the game into just yet another "twitch" shooter where your ability to tag someone is more important then the greater positional tactics that the game currently has.

With the amount of time it takes to get to different spots in some mechs??? Respawning would be annoying as heck!

Imagine an Atlas at Terra Terma having to go back to its group. HA!!!!

Not sure if your trolling but if not

I think multiple re-spawn will be the final death rattle of this game, and its been on life support for months

Shouldn't mess with armor values unless they are INCREASING them. I could get behind a drop ship reinforcement system. But never in the same mech. YOU LEFT THAT SALVAGE ON THE BATTLEFIELD. But say your pod allows you one more drop in a back up mech that can place you near the action.

For this to work though I think some type of repair mechanism would have to be in place. Otherwise it would just turn into longer battles with no consequences to mech destruction.

I'd rather the half armor (aka 1:1 TableTop armor) be reserved for a hardcore mode.

Limited respawn would be good for certain types of missions, but only for certain types.

This will, overall, add the variety of how games play. Limited respawns are much more conducive to the Conquest or Attack/Defense style of gameplay.

But this should just be another type of gameplay mode, not so much every type having limited respawn.

So even some modes/missions couldn't be respawn, y'all would rage quit over that? Sheesh. No offense, but 12 v 12 is pretty small scale after awhile, and doesn't breed many modes. I love me some no respawn, but what this game needs is variety.

Let premades face 12 mans like pugs face premades. You will see some serious rage quits then.

Only if the premades are made of the same metal. The few times I have been able to get into 12 man drops, our team had about the same experience as our 4 mans have...

I like the idea of respawn a la MW:LL and how they do it with the Battlefield point system.

I do NOT like the idea of weaker armor and faster kills... at all.

tbh, I don't like the idea of respawns in MWO drops.

When immersion seems to be high on the agenda and other more complicated models having simple solutions but no consequences for throwing player assets into a drop it doesn't make much sense or feel realistic imho.

Not to mention all the artificial meta knowledge associated with drop mechanics when respawns are in effect.

It would dilute the reality of decisions (and planning to some extent) imho as there is too much "contingency" applied then.

I am not sure if i would like respawns in attack/defend mode. I would like a "Rush"-like mode but with no respawns.
The attacker team strikes at the base defend by the other team: if they succeed in destroying it they win the match; otherwise, if they cannot destroy or, better, Capture the base they have to retreat to their Dropship (with working weapons!) and are chased by the defend teams which must ensure they cannot reach the dropship and evacuate.

On the other hand, a respawn mode would like more a true Rush: if you cap a base, then you can go forward to the next one etc.
