You removed the basic functionality from the previous UI, of being able to check the hard points and loadout of a specific chassis before making a purchase for MC or CBills, who thought this was a good idea?

PGI of course. You have to drop money on "mystery mechs" now. Just keep buying and selling back until you find the one you like. Perfectly reasonable (if you're the one collecting the money).

Just hoover the mouse of the mech, you will get a popup with the hard points and loadout.

It also shows the quirks (good) and some more details, even the max engine. BUT they forgot to list the currently deployed engine!

They are aware of the shortcomings of the new UI and have stated repeatedly it will be updated regularly with new functionality — including a "Smurfy" style mechlab and usability improvements in general.

This is incorrect, if it did this in previous builds it no longer does so.

Nope. That works in your mechbays but not the store.

Also, you now have no way to see what engine (or DHS) is in your mech...but golly you can see it's max speed which really matters (plus meaningless torso twist stats).

It was either that or miss the Feb 4th date, and the roasting if they did would have been even worse.

At work so haven't seen it yet, but threads like these are not filling me with hope...

You can get the info, just change the filter from owned to purchasable.
In your Mech Bay I believe.

Anyone who says its perfect is full of shit, but anyone who says its "epic fail shit garbage worst thing ever" is a drama queen and a vagina.

I'm new-ish to the game but have played for a couple weeks now, and can easily say this UI should have baked a little longer.

It's not easy to shop through the Store. Finding 'mech variants is not a simple task. I click on the 'Store' link and I get a dump of all of the mechs available onto my screen with no way to manage or organize the results. The 'Grid/List' icon at the top left of the Store doesn't function, so I am stuck with a screen full of 'mechs with the only details provided being the Name and the MC Price. IMO its a really poor way to shop.

Hell, I should be able to compare variants of my mech from the Mechlab tab. It's an easy way to upsell me, and a convenient way to shop for variants.

Also in the Mechlab, I need to hover for too long over a mech for its data to fade-in on the right side of the screen. You're on like a 2000ms fade in time, when it should be more like 250ms.

I can understand that this is an early release, and you are working out the feedback, but currently this 'UI 2.0' feels like more of a sidegrade than an upgrade. With some of the features missing. And bugs.

Mech details are not present in the Store; please refer to Mechlab for mech details

Here's the full list of bugs they are going to fix future patches. http://mwomercs.com/...before-posting/

Notice also how it says "Please read before posting" LOL.

:(

Yeah, I won't lie; this new UI is going to hard to use until they fix some of the usability issues...but overall I'm extremely happy it's finally in.

You have to read the Command Chair updates.

The "Smurfy" layout that the community has been asking for will make its first appearance in March.

That is not the STORE. That is the "purchasable" tab in the MECHLAB.

don't get too excited they haven't said it would be editable yet.

when it was initially put up they labled that view as an overview. so no news on whether it would be editable or not
