Hi guys,

My Shadowplay recording is broken after the patch. Anyone else experience this?

I haven't had an issue. My Shadowplay works fine still.

There are some Shadowplay bugs which could be causing issues, but it works fine here.

Is the problem related to switching Shadowplay on, or just capturing MWO itself?

If you can't switch it on anymore, then the solution will be to re-install your graphics drivers and Shadowplay from scratch. It's an issue I've had and customer support are looking in to.
Which might actually be a fix for this regardless, but someone will just have to try it.

MWO would do nothing to them, but your drivers could have some settings based on MWO's old UI, and now it's different there's a conflict.
It's worth a shot as I have a load of perfectly fine recordings from tonight myself, and this computer is a totally fresh install with only about a week of software age-ing.

If I'm in a minority that's what I would suggest trying.

It's not the driver Veranova. Only happened right after the UI 2.0 patch. Not going to mess around with my video drivers. I assume it's a problem where the game isn't being detected as a 3D application anymore.

Yes, this is happening to me as well. I used ShadowPlay to record because I take practically no framerate hit and have a budget system. Before the UI2.0 patch everything was fine, and ShadowPlay works fine on all the other games I play. I notice the game is a lot easier to alt-tab now, so maybe its a side-effect of that.

Hopefully they can fix it somehow, as MWO is on the list of games supported by ShadowPlay on the NVIDIA ShadowPlay FAQ on their website, and I liked recording good matches.

1) Seems like there's a young Davion child throwing a tantrum in here. Way to represent your house.
2) I've had issues with GeForce Experience lately; make sure it isn't acting funny.
3) If it isn't Experience, try playing with graphics settings. I know that Shadowplay doesn't work for a few other games, either, depending on the exact graphics settings. Maybe something that changed requires a certain setting to be on or off.
4) If all else fails, then there is a setting to force it to run somewhere. I don't know where it is offhand, but you can look for that and it might work.

Good luck, either way. :(

Ahhh, I figured it out. Sneaky PGI.

If you go into your settings it seems it defaults to a new "Full Window" option. I switched back to Fullscreen and it appears to be working now.

The prize goes to Diffusion9 for coming up with the solution.

Thanks Diffusion9!

I was never saying it was PGI messing with the drivers, but I've had some Shadowplay issues which could only be fixed with a total wipe of the drivers. So it's generally a good tip to remember anyway ;)

Anyway it's solved now I think, as someone said above, just switch to Full Screen instead of Full Window.
I realise this is something I'd done automatically before running the game.

Please stay on-topic and stop flaming. Thanks.

Destined, you just deleted my latest post which had the solution confirmed in it.

I wasn't even flaming either, I was trying to stop the flaming. But you could have just redacted the first line of my post if that was really not acceptable.

Had the same issue last night when I couldn't do an Alt-F10 to capture a video.

After some tinkering I realized MWO must be in 'fullscreen' mode for Shadowplay to work. -- not full windowed. As such, you can ALSO use it with the fullscreen UI to make vids.

But then I don't get to alt+tab out and still have the game in the background. I was liking that feature. :P

Still keeping the change into full-screen.

That is true. I don't think I could record the mechlab before.
