WHERE ARE MY WEAPONS.... AND HOW DO I KNOW WHAT HARDPOINTS ARE ON A MECH WHEN I BUY IT? UI 2.0 ?

The hover-over pop-up stat window does not display hardpoint locations or other relevant info like number of heats sinks and jump jets equipped.


They need to make pertinent info like this easy to see at a glance, and not focus so much on secondary info like mech quirks.

It doesn't help that the hardpoint list isn't color coded nor that the engine info is MIA in addition to # of crits/slots left, # of heatsinks, or even this newfangled concept called "ammo loadout".

The little details matter.

I think part of the issue is that the pop-ups don't work consistently, so people aren't seeing what you are seeing. I don't get them in the store at all, are you?

I would say the same thing about PGI, but the shocking thing is that it won't get them more money long term.

Getting it right the first time (like 90+% of it, instead of the 50ish% we're getting) makes a whole bit of difference.

Also, I will be the 10000 to say it.. the new UI.. wasnt ready and it pretty much sucks. Sorry, when the looks overtake the function - and the tool it supposed to be fails..... well you have a good looking useless tool.


Sorry - I like the concept, the function sucks.

No argument.

That said, I will freely admit "yes" standards have dropped and I've resigned to accept less-than perfect.

That said, this has been the case in the PC gaming industry since i delved into this hobby 30 years ago. There has not been one title release to date that did not bring with it some development baggage...

Is is not a little disingenuous to suddenly hold PGI and MW:O to a loftier standard?

I get it.. it's an I.P. we all hold near and dear and have a lot of hope riding on it's success. And most definitely PGI has not had success at fostering confidence... but it is "good" and enjoyable enough to keep a good percentage of us hanging around ain't it?

We want more and "yes" is should "be" more... That said, IMHO peoples grandiose expectations are starting to outpace this game and the de facto in regards to this industry.

Yeah I was trying to buy a mech last night..... good luck with that easy process. I AM A FREAKING IT DIRECTOR of 15 years at the same firm then at another 5 years elsewhere.

I am sorry but it is NOT efficient, logical,comfortable,useful.

It needs work.. the concept is great the usefulness is horrid.

It would be nice if the mech summary screen includes what modules and consumables are equipped on the mech.

...and the short answer after some research, which I didn't have time to do last night is....you can't, it's a known issue...that's really all that had to be said. Shots from the mechlab aside, when you are in the store, the information pop-ups don't exsist. The devs know about it so just use smurfy to scope out machines you like, i'm sure they'll sort this soon enough, since it is important to advertise what you are selling.
