Ui 2.0: A Very Pretty Step Backwards?

The Mechlab interface is awful.
The mechs, instead of being arranged by weight are arranged by Hero, Champ, normal, then by weight. This is not a helpful arrangement, and for players who don't have enough mechs to make this pattern apparent, it's just random. It'd be nice if the mechs were arranged by weight first and chassis second, with all variants of the same chassis kept adjacent to each other.
The base UI no longer shows what weapons, engine, internals, armor type and modules are installed on a mech. These were ALL right there easy to see before.
Using the mechlab to change the load out is a horrible visual jumble that is neither helpful nor informative.
In the Skills area, I can no longer select a base chassis and see how much XP and how many of the mech tree skills for all variants I currently have.
Overall, yeah, it's pretty. It's also not easy to use, visually disorienting, and lacks a lot of info that used to be readily available. It'd also be nice if we could go back to windowed mode when we're not in a round.
Oh, and why do I have to log out now before I can quit? That's another bit of UI stupidity I could live without.

Edit: sorry to be so harsh with you, but we have like 500 Topics about UI2.0 and it's getting very boring for us White Knights.

Ragna Rokker, if you drop into a match when you're getting ready to leave the UI, you should be able to quit out of the match from there straight to your desktop, if you're in that much of a hurry. As for the rest, someone -or a few someones- needs to take a college level organizational design course, as the lack of this information, the way things are arranged, etc., is really pretty ridiculous.
EDIT: In fact, it wouldn't break my heart to see an efficiency block somewhere on-screen per 'Mech, rather than needing to go to the skills tab and have a deluge of 'Mechs listed there. To be honest, that's been pretty silly since the beginning.

+ There is a feedback thread for it, has nothing to do with metagame.

Did you post your thoughts in the feedback thread?

First off, Russ and the gang are fixing the problems. Namely the tool tip used in `Mech Bay highlighting what the `Mech has on it. This feature will be present in a future update. When I don't know.
Second, Smurphy is being added to the UI 2.0. When? Same as the first.
Listen, I feel the same way as the rest of you, and want the same. Just have some damned patience. . . OK! Sheesh!

Seems like I can always rely on you and Roadbeer

I didn't do anything, I just asked OP a question lol
It's nice to see that I'm not the only one fed up with having to weed through 20 duplicate posts every freaking day though. It gets old.

Yea you are not the only one watching this "vocal minority" from their islands.
My island is pretty cool though.

Frankly, I'd rather have a super thread on a specific topic than 100 on the same thing. It keeps the forums clean. Besides, whether its just 1 or 100, the content will still be 99% whining.

No, that's hwo I react to the 6th thread that says
"I know this has already been discussed in 20 other threads and I could easily post this there or in the feedback thread but I will happily make a "new" thread so that my specific idea gets the attention it "deserves" because my idea will maigcally fix everything wrong with (insert latest bandwagon here)"

I've said what I thought needed to improve in the new UI. I just didn't make a "new" thread each time

I'd love to make everyone who posts duplicate threads sit through this though
(worst movie EVER)

At the end of your clip 6 thumbnails come up with one being a pixelated picture of a naked chic with DD's. Turns out it's some 80s horror flick with lots of naked chics. Thanks man, you're awesome.

Anyways, I haven't played in a couple of months and recently came back. I think that the new UI looks like it could be better than the old one, but currently the information is hidden behind too many clicks. At least in my resolution there's plenty of empty space to put extra info on.

the stuff that should be small and inconsequential is large and takes center stage (do I really need to see what my weapons look like in such big close ups of a white outline while my tonnage and other stats are small and down in the coner)
the esc button from within the mechlab should help me to start the logout process - instead it does nothing and I have to go down to a small button in the lower corner
the paper doll loadout visual needs to come back
etc
etc
It sure looks pretty and HD to see my mech in such large glory but other than that it is too much of a visual and usability mess.
Honestly to call it unfinished or incomplete seems a bit of a stretch. Missing an item is incomplete - presenting information in such a poor format is just bad design.
