The PVP component looks awesome but a CO-OP mode would be nice to see ^^
Cheers

I would strongly suggest to pirhanna to add a solaris type pvp instance for lone wolves and causual game play at launch even though its not planned. If players could places bets on themselves that would be great. I fear you would have to limit betting to only betting on your own mech otherwise i believe players would abuse the crap out of the system

I hear what your saying but........
I fear that a lot of players that played the old mechwarrior games are going to be severly upset with MWO. I will go into this in more detail in another thread, but in summary-As i understand this game is purley pvp and not pve. I think many on the players in this forum still believe they get to pretend that they are kelen kell or whoever and get to smash mindless NPC's all day. Or believe that they will get to run there own server and invite their friends to play against NPCs.
I don't understand why said players still believe that; but those players are in for a rude awakening come beta and/or launch when they try to leroy jenkins into the middle of 5 player controlled mechs and get Alpha punted into hellokittyonline

Well, mercenaries system is completely different from the WoT one, but I agree that house players like me will have probably very similar (not completely, though) experience as WoT players.

Interesting take on the merc system. Could you please expand? I have the impression that the merc system will be the one most similar to how WOT does their clan wars for control of territories (map territories). For example merc company X decides to take control of Planet X from merc company Y. Just as clan X decides to take paris from clan Y in WOT

It is CO-OP. If you mean CO-OP versus computer then no, it does not have that. This is a multiplayer PVP game only. There are no plans in the life of this game to develop any single player or PvE environment.
If you're looking for a single player experience with missions and cutscenes etc., you'll have to wait for a mechwarrior 5 or something else along those lines.
This game is going to be one bad motha from a PvP MMO perspective.

Minimal viable product is what they are releasing. The fact MWO is Free to Play means they can keep giving us more and more content. They have said that objective based games are around the corner, but what would you rather have, the game come out with TeamDeathmatch/Capture the Base or them waiting for another 2 or 3 months so they can put in another game type or two?
