I think they would have been better off if that center screen was just an ipad/xoom connector and they developed a touchscreen app to work with it.

That's a reasonable price for a joystick+throttle. Saitek provides these at a very low cost, but with crappy spring-and-plate centering and no force feedback. Factor in the screen, and that price is low.

But the price has to be right too...
AND it has to improve the game experience considerably also.

Just as a note, the only reason joysticks are really expensive, is because the user base is low. Many people buy gaming mice, so their prices are "relatively" low. Fewer people buy joysticks, so they can/have to charge more just to make money. But I'm thinking 200 for the artemis would be fair, just VERY unlikely.

I think if the Artemis fails, it will be because they took it too far and made it too awesome/expensive for the common player. I'm thinking along the lines of rumble packs when they came out for consoles. Nice, fun, and cool? For sure. Affordable? Certainly. Did everyone have or need one? Not by any means.

Maybe if the center screen was a touch screen. However that'll just up the price. Also Razor products tend to break. :\

The built in screen will make the price jump.

However, i bet will be over 200EUR, i actually think will be between 300 and 400EUR if they use a good screen and good materials.
If they use crap materials will be little over 200EUR, like 230-250EUR...
Cheers

Free 2 play is not the same as freeware, nor does it imply any lack of quality or substance. This game is as serious a game as any and one I am looking forward to more than any other. Certainly, I am not looking at it as just a casual "free" game to mess around with. I expect to spend a good amount of time with this one.

Or can someone save me some $$$ and point me to a joystick like the one seen in the concept? Google was maddeningly un-helpful...

Other options in decending price are:

I would rather get anyone of these over the artemis. I have not been impressed with razer controls in the past, and are usually over priced. Most likely, I will be getting the saitek x52 pro. Or if I can swing the extra scratch then get the warthog.
