Not my point. I get high burst DPS. It is high DPS for 2 minutes straight that sounds useless.

I'm not sure I follow.. do you think after 2 minutes I'm out of ammo? I tend to not stand in one spot and shoot for that long. 120 seconds = 1440 damage, I can't say I've done that yet. I don't see in any way how its useless. :)

You will not get to just stand and fire for 2 minutes in anything but a free win. You need far less cooling to be good for a realistic fight (i.e. not a turkey shoot).

Triple Deuces does not need anything but the default ten double heat sinks and cooling efficiencies, even on hot-assed maps like Mordor. yes, you can overheat with them, but doing so generally means you've just either A.) wasted a LOT of ammunition you shouldn't have, or B.) wasted some poor schmuck's ENTIRE FACE.

if the former, stop shooting at things other than bad guys. if the latter? Mission: Accomplished.

You rarely get to stand still and fire. But Triple AC/2 plus 90 KPH plus jumpjets allows me to make great use of cover & mobility while sawing targets in half at any range

 Less cooling = good/better in a fight. What crazy logic is that? Well its the same logic I use to build mechs. My mech isn't even cool unless 1.18 is cool these days. I have 4 Medium Lasers on top of the Triple Two. :)

This mech is a beast. Thats fine if you don't like it. ;)

I miss these days.

Handing Atlases their rear in a Dragon when Dragons sucked, thanks to triple AC/2s.

This however, after the 4th, will be possible again when the chain fire bug is removed.

Note by chain fire bug I mean this.

Quote

BUG : Can not rapid chain fire a weapon group when another weapon group is already being fired

It used to be that if a weapon group was already being held down for firing that the other group would be stuck and prevented to fire another weapon until the weapon in that weapon groups chain fire sequence had finished firing (or 0.5s passed by if a projectile weapon) and started cooling down. Now any number of groups can be held down and rapid fired with no such blockages.

(Btw love the chatter at the end. "Oh, so apparently he was angry that his assault lance couldn't beat an Atlas and heavy lance." "Yeah they did seem rather weak. Wh- how did we beat them?" "Highlanders. (They had) Highlanders.")

Lay the **** off already. I was responding to the comment about shooting for 2 minutes without overheating.

It just a nice option to have sustained AC2 fire when your medium lasers are out of range. Obviously in a brawl the mediums kick in until heat gets 90+.

I imagine you were picturing this build when I made that comment, then your post makes sense. Try not to be offended by me, I don't even take myself all that seriously. :)

Love my 222 Jager S. My problem is that i fall in love with the sound of my own Dakka and end up wasting ammo. "Short controlled bursts.... Short controlled bursts. ..." :-)

Triple AC/2 + (AC/10 OR LB-10x) + 2 MGs for the win.

Swap 1 AC/2 for an additional MG to have no ammo shortages.
