Which is better a lower amount ALRM volley or LRM volley at higher amounts, like ALRM20 or LRM25 ? I want to try my SHD-2H with LRMs but i cant put ALRM in the head seaction, so which is beter?

Small mechs work better with small volley.
Large mechs take more dmg with large volley.
Any mech with ams works better with larger
My view is 15 chainfire works with best.

Hmm, thanks but what would be your choice if u had a SHD-2H and u had the option of ALRM20 or LRM25?

ahh i see what you mean,again it would depend. Artemis is only going to help you if you can see them. Really both are going to be better during a game.
25 lms depending on how you send it? 10+15? would hit better than 20+Artemis ,artemis would hit better if you have visual lock.
I would use Artemis when you start loading boating lms 20's.
So on a shd i vote no artemis. 10+10+5. (i would chain 10 and 10+5)

ooh, i was using it as a 25 volley, i'll try using them with chainfire. thanks for your advice

I run twin ALRM-15 on my Phoenix Thunderbolt, and it's surprisingly good. I haven't tried it but I suspect that twin ALRM-10 on a Shadowhawk would also be good.
The trick is to treat it as a mid-range brawl support Mech. Your optimum range is 300-400 meters, just outside the furball and supporting your teammates who are up front. ALRMs are better than PPCs for this as they'll shoot over your teammates instead of through them.
