That's right. I'm challenging you to build some LosTech mechs to counter the incoming Clans. What counts as LosTech you ask? Well I'll tell ya!

Now some of these are optional, others aren't so I'll put a notice on the option bits.

Weapons:
Small Pulse Laser
Medium Pulse Laser
Large Pulse Laser
ER Large Laser
ER PPC
Ultra AC5
LBX 10
Streak SRM2

Optional Weapons: Clans still use these weapons. Bonus points for Artemis on the missiles.
SRM 2, 4 & 6
LRM 5, 10, 15, 20
Machine Guns
Flamers
Gauss Rifle
NARC
TAG

Equipment:
Double Heat Sinks
XL Engines (Optional)
Endo-Steel (Optional)
Ferro-Fibrous (Optional)
C.A.S.E. (Optional)
ECM (Required on mechs that can use ECM)
BAP (Optional)

Here's my additions to this challenge:

CTF-2X | ER LL, UAC5, 2x MPL, 2xSSRM2 STD 280
HBK-4H | LBX10, 2xMPL, 3x SPL XL275

What's funny is that certain T1 tech items like the Medium Laser and PPC are actually superior to most of the Lostech available. Not just in MWO, either. In all of BT.

I'd take a 7a Warhammer over a 6R any day of the week.

I was only talking about specific weapons, not the entire engine/internals/etc loadout. Some things like pulses might be fairly meh, but the savings of things like Endo can make up for it. Of course, you can always just use ML and regular PPCs with your Endo, XL, DHS, etc. upgrades...

Also the Gauss Rifle is also an acceptable weapon as the Clans use that as well. I simply forgot.

Fixed.

CASE is pretty useless with an XL, pulled it and redistributed ammo. The ERLLs are now torso mounted to take advantage of better ground clearance, the MPLs were moved to the arms. Endo Steel allows the installation of a more powerful 325XL engine without the loss of heat sink capacity. The loss of the BAP is regrettable, but the torsos seriously needed to be up-armored.

Yeah, my focus was more on replicating the absent Bushwacker than making the epitome lostech machine.
