[Sabrefangs]

Hi All:

I want to reserve my old Clan if possible,but don't see anywhere to do it,can we yet or am I not seeing it?

Currently there is no unit system in MWO, so no reservations possible.

Do you mean an actual clan as in one of the Factions or Clan as in Merc corp aka guild?

There isn't anyway to reserve any name at the moment however.

When one is finally available, remember to consider that "Clans" and "Groups" are very different in this game.

The Clans are an invading force of genetically engineered self-exiled outcasts that have come back to reclaim everything.

Groups, better known as Mercenary groups, units or corporations.. are your typical collections of players with their own invested interests. Some call themselves regiments.

My estimation would be with the introduction of Community Warfare, which is planned to be released this fall (unless the date allready changed again).

There is a subforum dedicated to player groups. You will get access to it after your first 25 matches, and that is where you would post your unit/recruitment info. For now, that is all there is in MWO -- no in-game reservations.

I am not certain if clans will have access to reserving group names, similar to how IS players aligned w/ a great house can't create a 'group'. So it's Clan something, House something, Canon Merc Unit something or you can name your own non canon merc group.

I do believe there's a list, somewhere... to register / possibly reserve a merc group name, but I don't know where.
The Smokin Aces for example, the NGNG crew, obviously will be the one and only Smoking Aces... so there must be a place.

We have to wait and see about ' clan groups '.

I saw a list that started in closed beta. So it's not an official reservation list, but there's a list.

There is no reservation system. There is an unofficial list for units to advertise for members, but that's it. The list has no bearing on the game itself. Unit creation will be first-come first-served.

Read this link -- it has all the info we've been given about starting in-game units. As somebody else said, we should have this ability by September or so. Hopefully sooner.
