The problem is there are only 2 available variants in the timeline. Assuming PGI is going to make it 3051. If it's still 3050 then that's only 1 available variant.
So it's extremely unlikely without some sort of time skip that we'll see the Mauler.
Now the Cyclops has 6 timeline available variants and would fill the same tonnage slot as the Mauler at 90 tons.
But you're forgetting we still have one empty tonnage slot and that's the 95 tonnage bracket with the best contender being the Banshee!

Since Russ said there would be an assault in March.
Mauler is a bit of a surprise though. If true, this one will break the trend of three timeline appropriate variants...

Edit - Just Realized They could release the 6y Zeus as a hero named Shoop Da Whoop. The Blazer should be available as a weapon in the game. Since Clans aren't too far off, let us IS guys have a new weapon. :3

The plants were destroyed a long time ago, and new production didn't resume until 3057, but almost the exact same situation happened with the Highlander, which is currently in the game: http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Highlander
Production was basically lost during the second war, instead of the first, with both mechs going back into production in 3057 - the main difference being that it states that ComStar had a large supply of HGNs that they gave to the Combine, but the same excuse could be used for the Nightstar and just not documented because it looks quite similar to the Marauder (just larger).
