7 times attempted 7 times declined, 7 emails from paypal stating payment was authorized (thier site states the transaction was cancelled) my Credit card company show 7 pending payments.

I pray that he game is better prepared than this pre-sale.
NOW i have to go through and cancell these pending payments as they were for the FRIGGIN LEGENDARY

Same problem though. Tried two credit cards (I never use pay pal, never works for me) both declined. Went to both issuers and they have received no requests for payments, at least not yet.

Well as an update, I just tried again after I posted about what the CSR had told me and it went right through with the credit card I first tried. Give it a little time and just keep trying seems to be the best option.

I had the problem with Paypal 3-4 times.. let paypal sort itself out, and then used credit card.. seemed to have worked..

I think its great the website is almost collapsing at the weight of all the new members and such. Means a LOT of interest and a lot of support.

It also means Russ and Bryan can go buy those new Porsches they been longing after (and justly deserved I might add).

I am sure it will get back to normal, everyone just has to relax a bit and it will all be fine.. a few deep breaths is all that is needed. This sort of thing always happens when there is a HUGE demand at a signal point in time. No matter the size of server.

I was frantic when I saw the word "declined." I tried credit, paypal, switched computers and even shut down AVG 9suspecting that the ID Protection may have plotted against my purchase of a Founder's Package) Actually got through after disabling AVG, but I think that was pure coincidence.

It took a while but the standard cc attempt finally went through. Be patient...it will go through eventually.

It would have been nice if they would have had the system bug free from the start, but it is nice to see so many people signing up that we have overloaded their system.

For some reason it kept denying my purchase on legendary through Paypal, but when I picked elite it worked :S. Oh well I was only planning on buying elite anyway so it all works out.

I just tried the once on my card, and didn't get any sign of acceptance or rejection. An hour or so later I finally got the email confirmation, so may just have to be patient.

I was denied repeatedly until I went through PayPal. Had to reset that passwrod since its been awhile since using it last and couldn't remember it.

Edit: I went back to paypal and it was cancelled. I then went back to CC and now it is there finally.

I loled at the fact humanity as a whole has a severe learning disabilty.

Who else was expecting slow response on a website that was going to get hammered on a particular day?

Hmm, I must be in the minority then cause I haven't bought the package yet. See, things like limited time offer, Black Friday sales, opening days of MMOs....who the hell could not learn from past mistakes of others that a huge crowd funneling through a small narrow opening (be it a door or a web server) is going to cause problems and back up the line, then cause rage that "Something needs to be done to fix it NAO!" when in fact you are the one that caused it.

So to recap my rambling, if you cause the problem don't get mad since you are at fault. Just be patient and wait, always put off what you want to do today that can be done in a few days after the massive uproar was started so you don't get stuck in the congested traffic

edit: upon closer inspection - Playspan denied my Pay Pal payment (?!) though the payments are still pending on my card - just tried the regular credit card payment & finally went through after being denied multiple times. Happy-ish customer.
