I raise my pincers praying that the King Crab will be the next mech. It's not that unlikely, there are enough variants, a concept (that everyone agrees with that it is great) exists, it's basically the most wanted mech besides the urban mech as far as the community goes and the split-crit issue is not the unsolvable problem some people make it out to be (or that PGI couldn't ignore it entirely). It even made it on a "what is your favorite 100t mech" poll made by Russ 2 years ago. It fills multiple niches (non-humanoid design for a change, ballistic heavy Assault, 2nd 100 ton mech, absolutely unique gameplay) as well.
It also has NEVER been in a Mechwarrior game before.
Seriously, it would be rather goofy for them NOT to release the King Crab when the 2nd most popular thread in the suggested features section is a thread where people are voting that they would be willing to pay $40 for a pre-order just to get the REGULAR variants of both Crabs. PGI seems like they want to improve their relationship with the community lately and this is one of the most obvious ways to do it.
If you think the same, take a look at my sig below
