Is it a known bug that the jester is almost all center torso? Out of 10 games I have never had a right or left torso even stripped of armor, let alone destroyed.

Yep, the Catapults are walking CTs, with a large (though recently shrunk) head dead center. Good luck with the twisting.

High mobility is the key to survive in a jester. biggest engine and as many jj's as you can fit

Yeah...I move at 93kph and am very maneuverable, but I hate that when I twist to take a hit on the arm I almost always see damage go to the center torso instead of arms or side torsos. Seems like if the other torsos are so damn small you should be able to increase the maximum center torso armor and lower the side torsos. I have on at least two occasions been booking away from people and watched as my front center torso was stripped of its remaining armor.
It is almost certainly an error in its hit table.

It is not. Catapults have always had huge CTs. This makes them extremely XL friendly, but they are definitely second-line fighters. It is what it is.

I have done 94 matches in the Jester, not once have I had my left or right torso destroyed.

Then re allocate your armor points... 10 pts rear then all front

As others have said, the Catapults are giant center torsos with legs. All models, not just the jester. It doesn't look like pgi's going to listen to us and adjust the hitboxs either.
With that said, My Jester "PinkiePult" is My absolute favorite mech. Slap an xl 350 engine in that kitty, give it twin ams, and milk every ounce of it's twist range, speed, and maneuverability and you'll do well.
