I might be missing something but I can't see it. They're exactly the same mech, but they come with a different stock loadout? Is anyone better than the other?

The A has 4 torso and 4 arm hardpoints. The K has 6 arm and 2 torso hardpoints. This means that the K has the advantage of greater precision, but the A has more firepower after its arms have inevitably been shot off.

FS9-K has 6 arm energy points, making for VERY accurate weapons. ER Large Laser for range.

FS9-A has 4 arm energy points, less arm power, go for all close range. Small Laser boat.

Variants are often similar, but can be built quite differently to make use of their hardpoint locations.
