Digression
Spoiler

Introduction
What is common between founders’ and phoenix/saber’s Mechs and what hasn’t changed since OBT? Right, unique camouflage pattern which cannot be changed except for colors. Should we expect that to be altered for Clan Pack Mechs (hereinafter CPMs) – I think not. Ergo:
  • Clans players in CPMs will be hard to distinguish on the battlefield from IS players in CPMs
  • CPMs from different Clans will be hard to distinguish among themselves, plus →
at the same time:
  • Clan allegiance could be shown by insignia only (in theory soon™ after CW)
  • Many players would love to have/pay for unique camo pattern for chosen Clan
  • Why Clan Mechs Packs have nothing to do with Clans, after all?
Suggestion
To any appropriate PGI staff member:
In order to increase Clan Packs value and, thus, overall sales, please consider addition of upgradeable Pre-Order Bonus available for Clan Package of any level. Main features of suggested bonus packs:
  • Purchasable upgrade (price policy is up to you, reasonable price policy, please)
  • Available for every of 4 Invading Clans (customer must choose 1 Clan)*
  • Available for any Clan Package (not available for A La Carte collection upgrade)
  • Contains unique and recognizable camo pattern for selected Clan
  • Designated Clan camo applies for all Prime Variants of CPMs in package
  • Provides unique selected Clan allegiance icon for forum account (optional, up to you)
  • May contain optional cockpit bubbles (optional bubbles are optional)
(*)In case if you won't be able to make 4 different Clan camo patterns for all 8 chassis, they could be replaced by single pattern - to distinguish Clan players from IS ones, but that would be quickie, IMO.

Discussion moved to Clans subforum.

The simple solution would be that they finally allow to change camo on founders, hero, phoenix and future to be clan prime variant mechs. So we can put Clan/House specific camo/paint scemes on them, that we earned by loyalty points.

Having to buy a Clan Package to beeing able to put on some Clan Wolf or Clan whatever camo is no good idea to me. The clan/house specific camos should be achieved by loyalty points.

Negative Clans don't use Camo, it's Considered Cowardly in their Dogma. They have Warpaint.
There are exemptions from Clan to Clan.

But, Basically Clan warfare, As they See it, is
Long range or Medium Range 1v1 Dueling.
No Melee Combat with, Exceptions
No Hiding, but Cover is Acceptable, sometimes

Negative, in the Clan Source books, it specifically states the Clan camo colors, and what they use when they are not in environment specific camo patterns (i.e. parade colors/general colors).

It even mentions what they are predisposed toward in terms of types of patterns...for example, Clan Wolf prefers woodland camo patterns, in general, for their mechs.
