Now that the Griffin can be bought with C-bills, what model do you prefer?

Currently I'm using the GRF-1S:

4x ML
2x SRM (6)
1x AMS

Its the 1N for me. The 1S isn't bad also but I don't really like the 3M. Its ok as an anti light streak boat...

For me it's been the 1N as well though the 3M is catching up.

I really thought I was going to struggle with the Griffins, but in the end I really like all three!

1N - I've got 3 LRM10 and 3 medium lasers. Stock engine, I think 4 tons of ammo and no JJ. It's a mini Catapult with the speed to get out of sticky situations. Love it!

1S - 4 medium lasers, LRM10, SRM6. I like this one because it's got all around punch and utility. It brawls well and the LRM lets me support nearby fights that I can't get to immediately.

3M - 4 SSRM2, 2 large lasers, and BAP. This one rocks and rolls. The large lasers are great for supporting the sniping early game, and the 4 SSRM2s tear lights up in a hurry. Honestly, though, light pilots tend to see SSRMs in any sort of volume and they run from you - at which point a pair of large lasers will cut through their rear side torso armor in a jiffy!

So in short, I like all three!

I like the 3M.

4 LRM5's
Large laser in shoulder
Medium pulse laser on arm
XL275 and JJ's

Set the lrms to chainfire and shake them up while using the LL for pinpoint damage. The medium pulse laser on the arm so I can run the full arc for legging lights.

I have a 1N right now...bout to get the other 2 varients...jus curious...how big of a difference is there in hardpoint for weapons between the varients?

1N - 3E in the RA, 3M in the RT
1S - 4E in the RA, 2M in the LT
3M - 1E in the RA, 4M in the RT, 1E in the LT

I'm using my 1N(P) as a 'proper Griffin' updated for 3050 tech - ERPPC, LRM15, Tag, full armor and JJ.
The 1S I could never get to work right and sold.
My 3M mounts an ERPPC, 4x LRM5 (previously an LRM20, but sadly, quad 5's is better) and a Tag.

Both the 'mid-range' Griffins work well. They excel at mid-range actions and support versus larger 'mechs, and spotting for missile boats.
