Patch sucks it has crashed 3 times now! And before you tell me its my computer, its a high end gaming machine and I have the high speed cable modem. BOOO!

But I fear, that game freezes/crashes due to a memory leak may still be back.

Fleece, what you really need to do is learn how to translate "PGI Speak". For example, when we think of a "Save" button, they put a label on the UI called "Checkout". Sure, this makes no sense whatsoever to actual players, but it looks good to the investors.

Now then, in the case of patches, when PGI says "we have fixed X" what you should understand that to mean is "We have modified how X functions, and in the process broken Y". Bugs are like a revolving door for devs. If they actually FIX something then its less job security. This way they have work for the next 35 years!

Just run the repair tool, it'll clean up deprecated files and all will be well.
And despite the quality of the computer, software and hardware issues do occur, and your network connection has nothing to do with the game crashing. Make sure your drivers are up to date, Windows is up to date, etc. Good luck!

Sorry... kinda, I was tired and cranky I was looking to take out some frustrations on some mechs, plus my mother didn't hug me enough when I was a child.


Well I cant even get the patch to load it gets about half way then bombs out, first time I thought it was finished, and I went to restart the game i figured that it reset its self or something. So it starts up asking me to patch it again??? So this time a sat and watched it and nope it just reach about the half way point and blinks out, So restart computer make sure nothing is running and gave it a try again and same thing? So do I need to uninstall and re-download?


So where is this repair tool that was the first thing I looked for, maybe I missed it I will look again.

For the record, I have run the repair tool twice since the hotfix patch and I am still crashing/freezing. I never had this problem before the hotfix patch.

I ran the repair tool and it works now it did take a few hours to do it though.

Ok I'm back to the patch sucks, I get three games in maybe and it crashes this all started with the new UI which is way to cumbersome and difficult to navigate.

Actually, I still am experiencing crashes... every time I try to click on my social tab or join a group. Yes, I`m aware that I probably have too big of a friends list, but NO I can`t fix this myself because all your games master suggested to me in an email was that I delete some of my friends... well this isn`t possible because my game immediately kicks me to windows as soon as I click on my social tab.

What?

I play three games then it crashes, start game back up play two games and it crashes then I give up and go to bed! Its always at the load point, never in the middle of a game just at start up.
