The definition is quite easy.
Weapons that do their damage in an instance on a single spot are considered pinpoint.
If you shoot a laser your target can turn away and distribute the damage it gets.

On small maps like River City or Forrest Colony it will be almost the whole map, minus small areas where the judges and the teams of the second match of the particular drop can bring their mechs and shutdown.
On larger maps there will be a specific area between 3x3 and 4x4 squares wide, which we will publish before the tournament.
Teams start their match at the edge of those areas and are free to enter them from wherever they please. We will choose those areas on places that on one hand give no clear tactical advantage to either of the team, as far as that is possible, and also in places you maybe wouldn´t fight in a normal PUG match.
In addition to the streamers we will have 4 judges on each drop, who will ensure the adherence of the rules.
The map will be chosen at random by the game itself, as in normal PUG matches.
If a team leaves the engagement area they will get a 30 second warning from the judges to return. If they fail to do so they will lose the match.
