You are categorically wrong about everything you have said about Battletech, Mechwarrior, and more specifically MW:O. Your real world analogies are as relevant to gameplay as what I had for breakfast.

My only statements thus far have been...
1) (item here) is stupid - which is an opinion and thus cannot be anything but true for the holder.
2) Lights can fit weapons that are the largest of their kind - which is obviously true as proven by 5 seconds in the mechbay.
3) Assaults can fit jump jets - again see mechbay
4) A mechanic from some other game only has influence in this game if the developers choose to allow it
