It says the Buccaneer pattern is 35%* off, in the game is lists the price as 1250 MC even when I go to check out. Is that really 35% off?

*sorry, I thought it had said 50% but it is only 35% off but I guess the question still stands whether 1250 is 35% off regular?

@JimEvolved: 1250 is the normal price i think...oO

Topic: So, Ember and Huginn in my garage :) (Even if i complained about the Raven...two SRM4s and 4MGs work pretty good).

First at all, thanks so much for keeping that page up to date. Appreciate it.

Could not disagree more. I bought it last week (dman it.... I wish I knew this was coming :/), and I really have fun with it. It also turned out to be one of my best chassis.
I am a decent player. I am not a beast ( kill more that I am being killed though) but so far I had with it :

22 games : 13 victories, 1.44 kill ratio. Seems pretty good to me.

If you play it the correct way, it could be a monster on the field. I killed a Ember, 1 on 1 with it last night. Of course I also had terrible games, but overall I think it's a good mech.

It's also the best looking by far IMO

Shoot straight

PS : Still sucks to have a 50% discount so soon after having bought it

3 things:

1. What's your build?

2. You're tempting me. Stop that. :)

3. It can barely be said enough how cool it looks.

I just did that!
(and I see you watching Aym - best of luck next time!)

I bought some MC during the 20% sale so I'm contemplating adding another 3 lights to my stable to master. Everyone seems to think the Ember is better, but it looks kind of dumpy and the Huginn has those long, supermodel legs, plus I can get the 3L as one of my other versions to finally add an ECM mech to my stable.

Decisions, decisions...

Save my MC for the inevitble Hero Locust. xD

I enjoy playing my Locusts, but I think they're going to have to do something special with a Hero Locust for it not to be dubbed "The Aquaman of hero mechs".

Especially as they are running out of hardpoint variations....

Kinda makes you wonder what they would do with it - JJ maybe? (but they would prefer to avoid that wouldn't they? seeing the Banshee hero almost had them)

YLW...the less I say the better. It's a polarizing mech. For various reasons, I will never buy one.

The star of this sale is undoubtedly the Ember. One of the best of a really good chassis, Ember is a beast. I have no regrets about having bought mine at full price.

1. Do I open this can of worms.. ..do I? :)

2. Totally agree - The Ember is by far my favorite light and only second to my firebrand in terms of favorite mechs.

About the only thing that comes to mind for instant respectability would be to add an ECM mount. If there's ever going to be another ECM mech added I think it's going to be a fragile one like the Locust.

Take the LCT-1V, add ECM, and you've got instant respectability while still not frustrating the rest of the community too badly (ECM is OP, but the MGs force you to get up close to do damage where you can be one-shotted by enemy mechs).

Probably lose half the ballistic mounts with that...

Either way it'll be interesting to see how they do it.

archi classical 4 MG + 2 SRM4

Lol, I'm new to the game, and I am surprised by how many bad comments the Higgin generate considering how good it is.
I am not saying it is OP or anything. It also has a specific playstyle so I understand it doesn't suit everybody. But, IMO, it doesn't deserve all the bad comments it gets along the board.

yep, love the shape and paint job :)
I whish there is a way to see your self from upfront while in game B)

While I didn't want to spend the money... I have to say, Ember's the best ~$8 I've spent in this game. For 35 tons, it's an absolute beast-mode mech.

Yeah, but it'll be the only Hero Mech I'll happily just buy anyway. B)

Maybe JJ... who knows.

Also picked up Ember and Huginn. Haven't started on the Huginn yet, since Ember uses it's engine currently... Usually I don't like fully ammo dependant mechs, but I enjoy my Ravens way to much to pass on it. Btw. made me wonder, why they put a sale on the Huginn before the Malinche which has been released earlier.

In regards of a Locust hero. Didn't they say somewhere, that there'll be no hero variants of phoenix mechs as the phoenix variants already have the 30% c-bill boost? But then again... prolly that was their opinion at that time anyway. :D

I don't recall that.

Being Phonix Pack mechs aren't really heroes, it doesn't make sense for them to not either.
1: It's 30% c-bills, and other bonuses.
2: There's a very limited number of them and they can't make more money on it. It's just bad business sense.
3: More heros = more money.

All of this. I don't recall any such comment.

Also, the closest analogy would be Founder's mechs and there were eventually heroes released for each of those chassis.

So does 4MG 2LRM5 ;)

Saw that build yesterday, but you were not in it. Annoying little ******** and a pretty neat use of the chassis. Usually I consider LRM lights to be a joke, but this one was really effective.

Dunno where the hell I read something like that, but since I don't find it anywhere it's prolly my weird imagination (prolly I misread something). ;)

However, tried the Huginn yesterday and heck that thing is helluva fun. First game was 4 kills and 7,5k xp during double xp. Now to wait for the Munchie and Ivy to go on sale and my pokemech hero collection would be complete.

Was last on sale 4/18, before that in February.

Hero sale history is in the OP.

Being a KTO fan, I considered it, but I can't figure out anything I want to do wth it that I can't do wth the 18 or 19. :D
