Say every 3 months something like this so those that are reluctant to spend MC's get at the very least a free mech Bay (if they hate the free Mech) I'd hope they scale the win condition by Mech Cbill value if it became a regular or semi regular feature. (Say 10 wins for a heavy/assault etc) Somebody suggested if they ever release a Hero this way it should be the full 25 matches to get it.

Basic rule of any "sale" is you GIVE something to encourage people to PAY for something else. PGI got it pretty well spot on here. 22 pages and I only spotted a handful of cynical posts.. Betcha the sales of MC for Mechbays (so folks can get their other two cents) spikes for march...

Please stop making events so easy, PGI. If it is a 'Mech and a Mechbay, make it two separate events. 'Mechbay: 35 matches won over the weekend for the 'Mech. 'Mech: score over 700 damage in 5 matches. That would be fair.

Excellent event. Much appreciated. And for those saying it's too easy, that's the point. PGI wants everyone to get the centurion so they'll buy mechbays for the other cents (and maybe YLW) to master centurions. And I am totally fine with that. A free mech + mechbay is excellent incentive to play, and even spend a bit more money..

Hmm I think I was awarded it after 5 matches, win or lose, as long as I stayed until the end of the match. Because I got it after 6-7 matches, of which I'm pretty sure I had only won 3 or 4 and had left the game early for 2 matches. Also it was awarded immediately following a loss (I was last in my LRM skirmisher against 2 lights). Though it does say the prize is delayed by 15 minutes...


EDIT: Oh I didn't think about the possibility that the matches I left early my team may have won. I did really bad the first match of the morning, needed some coffee!

No. No. No. The very idea here is to get people playing. Not everybody needs to be a star. And most players who could do what you suggest already have CN9s. This level of challenge more or less rewards you for just playing a noticeable amount. And new guys, who can use this mech the most, get it. It's a very good thing.
