Thanks, PGI. That was a nice and unexpected gift to the community. While I already had that variant, I surely don't mind another (plus a much needed mechbay). One fellow who plays in our group just started playing a week ago and only had one mech. It was a real windfall for him to acquire a mechbay and a good mech with this challenge.

Thanks PGI, the 9A completes my stable of Centurions. More importantly it's a great bonus for new players to get a free mech and mechbay. My nephew started playing a couple of weeks ago and only had a Spider 5d until he got this. Even if he doesn't like the 9A he can sell it for a cbill boost and still has the mechbay.

Nice job PGI! I'd love to see more of this. One off challenges for little things, like win 20 rounds this weekend and get a cockpit item/mech bay/something but this was actually really cool because people seemed a lot more focused and over the weekend I saw a lot of "Come on guys, I need one more!" Total win.

Lrm's are broke in mechbay.. I have 4 of every LRM in my inventory..yet every time I try to load them into a mech..new U.I. tries to force me to purchase a new one..

It's probably because they are Artemis launchers (or not). A recent patch split them into two separate items.
