The Direwolf will have no IS competition for a while atleast. The Atlas simply don't stand a chance.

Well, can't have everything. I guess I'll stick with my Stalkers then.

It is funny, seems like FA$A totally lost control of their quality assuarance sometime after the "old skool" TRs, haven't dwelved into reasons behind it. I am guessing they were to cheap, used new talent and didn't do their due diligence checking facts. (Or perhaps it was less important than pushing out new material) Although they did use my likeness for Haakons pic in the CCG and my idea of eventually FRR allying with ghost bears (Or syncronicity, whichever..)
Anyhow, seems we have lost the fight. I no longer need to defend KGC against the heresy of split criticals. I'll just buy a salvaged daishi with a slightly dented head and call it King Crab driving it like one (Propably better positioned ACs anyways)
Desperate times, desperate measures...

Assuming that the Mauler is next in line for the Assault slot (because PGI is working on it right now) it'll most likely take at least another 8 months till we get another chance to get the KG. A shame, what a shame. Might just as well grind the Banshee for C-Bills then, sigh...
Sometimes you really have to question if PGI actually knows what their community wants and is willing to spend money on...

I guess that could work. I'd just like to see it sooner rather than later though.

Personally, I would not be surprised if they held off on the KGC until next May (that is, May 2015) in order to make it part of a "Clanbuster Pack" (with the Hussar as the Light, the Wyvern as the Medium, either (or both) the Champion or the Black Knight as the Heavy, and the King Crab as the Assault) to be released in conjunction with some sort of in-game Battle of Tukayyid event...

ye only lose the fight once ye give up! I was tempted to dropt he whole KGC revival a few times, but no! if we don't stand up for the crabs now! then they may become lost to PGI forever. Its now, more than ever that our voices neeed to be raised!
by the way..anyone have any idea how I can get a hold of PGI directly? Drive a truck loaded with other players, and a buncha picket signs out by their office? each sign declaring our need for KGC's???

Any ways...
Did we just get a kit bashed, generic, un appealing piece of trash mech' this month? Yes.
Will it be the last "IS" Assault Mech' for this year? No.
According to the "Ultimate Mech' Discussion" Thread, there is still room in 2014 for the KGC to pop out of its den:
*Taken from the above thred* *also taking in consideration that the supposed Light, Medium, Heavy, Assault line up was "broken since the last release was the Fire Starter a Light, and now we are getting an Assault, I'm assuming its now "Light, Assault, Medium, Heavy*
March was Kit Bash Banshee month and if I'm reading the quote correctly, the C-Bill release of the Wolverine, a Medium. This would mean that in April a Heavy will come.
May will restart the "new" cycle with another Light mech'. The Flea perhaps?
June will most likely bring the already confirmed Mauler (confirmed by an apparent NGNG podcast).
July an unknown Medium.
August an Unknown Heavy.
September an Unknown Light.
October an Unknown Assault.
November an Unknown Medium.
December an Unknown Heavy.
So what do we see coming for the "IS" in 2014? One Unknown Light and the Flea, Two Unknown Mediums and the Wolverine, Three Unknown Heavies, Kit Bash Banshee, Mauler and one Unknown ASSAULT...
What else can we see? That these "IS" Mechs' are being released one after the other after these Clan mechs'.
Could they be the Clan Busters arriving one after the other after each invading Claner Mech'?
The fight isn't over yet.

I'm betting exactly this. Not to mention Bryan did say that it was on their list of mechs to include in the game. So REJOICE you STD lovers. PGI will give you crabs.
Next year. When the Clanbuster variant is scheduled for it.
Along with the Black Knight and its Clanbuster variant. THAT would be nice.
The Hussar and the Wyvern are just...meh to me, and the Champion is just a failed LAM project (I'm teasing here).
