For those that like energy boat builds. I run a similar build in my Bmasters and Highlander but I'm able to go with 4LL instead of 3LL with this behemoth

This is my RS, the exact same without the obvious Paint/C-Bill bonus.
I went off the deep end with my Boar's Head.

Oh yea, I run 5LL on my Stalker so I'm VERY familiar with ghost heat and chain fire lol

I am planning on running that Boar's Head build as well! I've been itching to try it. My Stalker does great for me so I'm interested to see what I can do with 6LL and that much armor. I've run 6:: on my Bmaster before but I can just imagine what you can do with all that extra armor!

Yeah I was using that on the 1G, same heat efficiency, 2+2+2. Just works better on the Atlas for some reason. Maybe its the torso twist + arms.

Edit: Boar's Head can be a pain to get mixed energy weapon arrangements in the correct order in the arm hard-points. I had to sell all of my spare medium lasers and re-buy them to get them in my preferred order.

Tuskin' Raider
I still have plenty of heat issues though, and you have to watch your fire or risk overheating, even with the 18 DHS.

First thing I did was drop the XL as well... death trap in an Atlas since everyone goes right torso at the first sight of your 100 ton walking barn door of a mech.
I like a little more speed so mine is STD380, 6x MLs, 1x LBX10, endo, dhs, etc.
I like it but it is hit or miss really how well it does in a match, mostly depending on how you are supported by your team and if you can navigate in for a fight well enough. With the current poptart sniper lrm trend, big slow brawlers are not always easily deployed. When I get into a fight though, it seems to hold its own.

If you are dropping in competitive ELO or 12 mans a BH probably isn't the best option, but it does kick significant amounts of ass when you can get into range and start brawling.

I would agree if you are using the ballistic slot, even a MG in that torso includes a HUGE addition to the mech.
Truth being I actually live longer and die less often in my Boars Head then any of my other 4 Atlases and 3 of them run a STD330. The Dakka of the Atlas is its biggest weakness, even if its a source of power. On top of that the AC/20 is the easiest to crit. Not a great combo.
