I know that plans change but that's why you don't promise stuff that you don't know will be delivered on time or even made. Sorry for the "lapdog" remark I was mad. I should say: I refuse to be labelled as supporter of PGI at this time. I support MW:O and technically through that them but I won't do it directly until Private Matches.

"The dogfighting module will be released in December 2013 no matter what."

In fairness MD, "most" games reach the current level of MW:O development behind closed door and "we" the consumer would never be privy to what hits the cutting floor versus the original development plan that was pitched.

I been around PC gaming since I was 16... self-taught myself 3D studio MAX... did several paid 3D contract stints for a couple games and QA'd a lot of other games along the way... The sad reality is NO game EVER is released in the same form it's pillars were constructed from. Every game design is based on flights of fancy and wind up grounded by reality, time crunches and impatient publishers...

Absolutely PGI was completely out of line committing to things they had absolutely no way to guarantee the end result... That said, that's an egregious act of arrogance, not a malicious intent to deceive.

I prefer the term hubris.

This thread: proof why a dichotomous world view will always fail.

----

On topic. Yes potential (combined with the existing core) is enough to get me to play from time to time.

No, it's not enough for a game to be my "main" as it were.

But maybe I'm weird. I'll drop a game for a year with no malice and check back later to see what's new.

At the moment I'm waiting here and grabbing the odd drop now and again. ( 8 matches to get the free cent, mastered a new hbk after the model changes).

There are other games, never mind plenty of non game activities to occupy me while I wait.

I will also admit this much, with the caveat that inexperience and enthusiasm may also have contributed to it. PGI's biggest sin thus far has simply been that their eyes were bigger than their stomachs early on.
