EDIT: Thread answered! Thanks so much! Between the Shadowhawk and the Victor I'm set for experimenting with new mechs for awhile

I own and love Cataphracts, Cicadas, and Stalkers. My next mech I'd really like to try out jumpjets (still haven't). I do not want to use a light mech, I've tried and my mind just isn't easily compatible with that kind of play.

I haven't used missiles too much, I've been going back and forth between ballistic and energy - but totally open to missiles. I sort of want to be brawly.

I've been eyeing the Thunderbolt and Quickdraw. With all that in mind, I would like to hear what you like to pilot along those lines: brawly, jumpjets, with ballistic/energy options.

Thanks!

Look at the 55 ton Mediums, in particular the Shadowhawk, they all have JJs. One of the Wolverines has ballistics, otherwise Wolverines and Griffins both have a lots of Missiles and energy.

55 ton shadowhawk. ballistic, missle, and energy slots. its only downside is a slow jump and the ballistics are locked to a side torso but everyone can do well in it.

I believe only one of the thunderbolts (9SE) actually has jumpjets. I never gave it a shot as far as brawling (prefer using a shadowhawk for brawling) , instead choosing to play it in a support role. I did brawl with the 9S along the lines of a build like this:

I had a decent time surviving sustained one-on-ones, but I admit the torso twist was a couple steps slow at times.

As far as Quickdraws, no experience with em. Sorry

The Victor is a jumpjet capable mech with the durability of Stalkers, the weapons of Cataphract and with a decent speed.

I loved jumping around in my Victor B. Damn thing looked like it was in pain everytime I jumped!! When they hunch over upon landing...

All mechs do this apon landing/falling, looks silly. Especially with atlas. They need to fix that animation. Dont they have shockcoils in the legs? Why are they hunching over?

Thanks guys so much for the great replies... I hadn't looked much at the Victor yet and it sounds exactly like what I'm looking for! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend, good shooting.
