So I was screwing around with the new UI when it first came out and managed to actually buy a skin for my founder Catapult and Heavy Metal mechs. What happens is instead of applying the skin you chose, it completely removes the skin and colors the mech default green. So for instance on this catapult here it removes all of the gritty textures and gives it a nice clean fresh out of the factory look. I havn't taken screenshots of my Heavy Metal yet but it looks the same and any lines are removed including the word Heavy Metal on the right arm. Didn't know where else to put this, just thought it was nifty.

With the founders mech you should view the stock skin like the Misery Stalker skin. That one comes with a lot of battledamage. You could think of them like the normal mechs are fresh out of the factory and the Founder/some hero mechs allready have seen battle and it shows.

Personally I like the founder skins.. It gives them some personality.
