Well, I finally got the Cataphract 3D, minus the glasses. So I'll have the used the Zoom Module for that. Right now, I'm using 2 AC/5's and 4 Medium lasers. Any build will be appreciated. Thanks.

Solo AC20 with 4 medium lasers I heard is good with STD 300.

there u go - loads of possible builds - though the poptart-ones (2PPCs+1AC10 or 2PPCs+2AC5s) are the most common ones...

on my CTF-1X im having an AC20 and 5 MLs (STD295) - nice build but a waste for a 3D...

When I'm working on leveling up chassis I try to make each variant different from the others. Running 4ML and an ac-20 with the JJs works well, but keeping it different from the other cataphracts, I go back and forth between AC-10 and 20 along with 2 PPCs. I haven't tried it yet but I'm tempted to try a 4 LPL build.

I run mine with 2jj, std 265, 2 ppc, ac10, 2mlas , a couple heatsinks

2 tons ammo and less armor on the legs. 67 kph.

a little slower than the meta builds, but has more survivability and a bigger alpha at medium range, plus the extra 2 mlas rely helps with lights.

1 erlas in the left shoulder. 2 mlas elsewhere. 2 uac5. 3 jj. as much armor as you can stick on it.
You might think it's a meta build. but it's amazingly well rounded. you have a long arm so you can reach out and touch enemy mechs anywhere. You have twin dakka to warn them from getting too close. you have ultra ac redundancy in case something jams up, you have mlas reliability, I synch fire them to back up any kind of up close and personal attitude I want to give somebody. The heat is hardly ever a big issue.

In my opinion it's a pretty well rounded build. You can unload massive damage up close, you can play a sniper role, you can jump to get better position, you can use your arms to soak up damage since most of your offense is in the torso. And you can decide between a std engine for survivability or an xl for manuverability.

I like the Ct3D. I tried to make the vanilla build viable, but the damn LBX10 was just about useless. Trading it in for another AC5 and then finally a UAC5 made the build come alive.

atm im doing the dual UAC5, dual ML, regular PPC, XL300 build... fun and deadly i keep getting 600 average damage if i dont go yolomode

I run mine with 2 x LB 10-X and 4ML also, but with glasses! (see signature)

Once armor is gone on a part, you do wonders with the crit possibility of the LB 10-X. Heck, I like to run 3 x LB 10-X on my Ilya, the only Mech yet that can do this.
