I observed the same thing lol - 4 matches and in the same neighborhood as yourself.

Maybe a bunch of people opted in with the trial cicadas?

i'm guessing they counted the missing 6 matches as having scored 0 points to give you your 10 scores. so you can only play a couple but still get a score (but aren;t going to win anything barring like 5 people opting in total). if you played more than 10 then only the 10 best ones got counted

I assumed the same. I was more attributing the rapid rise to indicate that perhaps a lot of people opted in and ran non-elited cicadas, perhaps. That would actually be a fun tournament - trial mechs only! Trials vs. the World!

I posted this in a separate thread

My ranking in the categories where I dropped 1 time:

Lights: 2480 with 31 points
Heavy: 3332 with 61 points
Assault: 2183 with 284 points (must have dropped twice)
Blackjack: 790 with 50 points
Cicada: 1025 with 86 points
Hunchback: 1349 with 56 points
Trebuchet: 404 with 60 points

I'm too nice to go in and commit suicide to get a 10 point minimum and really get the count.

I would estimate maybe 4000- 6000 people participated in the tournament.

I did notice only a couple names on my friends list that were on, I think that many of the high scoring unknown names were alt accounts.

These tournaments of PGI's are very easily gamed, encourage poor sportsmanship and poor play, and mostly give no indication of the players true worth as a mech pilot, rather they showcase those who know how to game the system, exploit bugs and have no life outside MWO.

I would also like to note, even thou I never played a light, I had a score of 1400 some in lights.
