Actually, as a hero mech, maybe this lore friendly one is a little too good:
- BNC-5S Vandergriff A custom BNC-5S piloted by Solaris VII duelist Victor Vandergriff during the Solaris riots.

LOL, this would be really great.
Yeah, for its opponents.
Russ directly confirms it's the Banshee.

Was pretty sure it was going to be the Banshee myself, though I'd be happy with the Zeus, Cyclops, or Thug.

Still, the 3S should be pretty nasty - a minimum of 8 energy, 1 ballistic, 1 missile.

- BNC-5S Vandergriff A custom BNC-5S piloted by Solaris VII duelist Victor Vandergriff during the Solaris riots. The weapon loadout is similar to a standard BNC-5S. Two ER PPCs are the main armaments, one mounted in the left arm and the other in the right torso. A LB-10X sits in the left torso. The two medium lasers of the original are retained in the left arm. The right arm contains a small SRM-4. Finally, four jump jets are added for increased mobility. BV (2.0) = 1,853[26]
BNC-5S was introduced in 3053, and Vandergriff probably had not this Banshee in his possession at least for some time after 3056 (when he lost to Kai Allard-Liao, he piloted Goliath, and it's implied that it was his only mech at this time - so he was forced to use this long-range mech on unsuited Ishiyama arena).

I was honestly expecting a Banshee aswell since we don't have a 95 tonner. And they did a decent job of making it playable atleast. Would not buy it though, Saving for a King Crab or another intresting 100 tonner.

I can promise you that.
The dual UAC20 direwolves are going to be nightmare fuel the likes we have yet to see.
Been there; Done that. MechWarrior 3. Ever seen an Annie with four of those strapped on with Unlimited Ammo. No? Well, trust me, it's not pretty.

Next in line is the Mauler, so I'll guess we'll have to wait another 8 months before the King Crab even has a chance to be released <.<...

About the bolded part, I don't see much difference between the 3S & the 5S...at least hard point wise.
Both have 4 MLs, 2 SLs & an SRMs.
2 PPCs vs 2 ER PPCS
AC/10 vs Gauss
Standard Heat Sinks vs Doubles
Standard 285 vs XL 380
The biggest difference is that the 3S is only going to be able to mount up to a 340 or 345 which means you'll a lower max speed, but still have like 6-7 spare tons to play with...and that's before you add in endo-steel. With endo steel you might well be able to mount a standard 340-345...or at least a standard 325 in the thing and otherwise keep the loadout of the 5S.

Unless the hero version is cool, I will be buying 3 standard variants. I have 103 million saved up.

If they don't change hardpoints, the Banshee is just an Atlas clone, just 5 tons lighter.
Would be interesting, when the ballistic hp's are in different torso locations.

According to the (possibly slightly dubious) online record sheets I've been looking at, the hardpoint layout is quite different:
3S: LA - 1E; LT - 1B; CT - 1E; HD - 1E; RT - 5E, 1M
5S: LA - 2E; LT - 1B, 1E; CT - 1E; HD - 1E; RT - 3E; RA - 1M
Same overall hardpoints, but the 5S has a better layout with less of a single 'Shoot Me!' location, plus potential for a greater top speed.
Of course, a BT expert may be along shortly to correct everything I've just posted.
