So how about every 2nd or 3rd month, PGI throws out a Hero mech as a trial for a week. Try before you buy and/or forcing some oriented meta away from the main meta (hopefully). Many pros, not so many cons.

The upcoming Hero trial build can stick to the trial theme by having the community make "Community's choice" build.

People make builds, throw em at PGI and they pick out one that is best suitable...

Seems like a good idea to me. Advertising for the Heroes, giving F2P players a bit of an easier time with earning c-bills for a short while, and a further step away from any hints of pay-to-win Heroes.

It would be a trial mech available to all and only available for a limited time. Why not leave the bonus...give people on the fence about MC use a taste and let that lure them in. Good for PGI I would bet.

Let's say it's once every 2 months. that's 1 week out of every 8 in intervals... Must you be such a stinge? I own like 6 hero mechs and you don't see me complaining about it...

I like the idea. An entire week may be a bit much from the business side of things but something like random weekends where all the trials are heros seems cool, especially if those heros are also on sale.

Also, I would love to test drive mechs before I buy them
