I wouldn't recommend a single Lrm 20 without artemis. With the new Lrm buff, everyone and their grandmother will slap AMS on their mech.. You have to invest like 13 tons for a weapon that will hit with half of his damage at best, and without artemis you will have alot of spread.
IMO, when it comes to LRM, it comes down to go big or go home. Use enough to get through a wall of AMS, or don't use them at all.
Just my personal opinion though. If a single Lrm 20 works for you, go for it. But i wouldn't do it. I'd either go full Lrm boat (which doesn't work on the Banshee) or don't use them at all.

I changed down to a std300 to ad artemis 2 extra medium lasers and 2 heatsinks.
Seems to work better, with proper firepower for an assault..
edit : Tip fire the lasers in 2 groups of 3
A single lrm 20 is actually quite nice, dont sit back and shoot with it, its extra damage, gets you some stray kills and assists, also make people cover.

Downgrade the 320 to a 300 STD and strip some armor from the arms. Just makes a difference of 4kph with speed tweak.
Lets you upgrade the AC5s to UAC5s and add 3 heatsinks. Higher dps, runs cooler. (which is pretty much the build i am running atm just for the dakka. 2PPC, 3AC5 is probably a more effecient build).
Those AC2s are mighty hot, especially if you bring the ML into the fight. Even with 14 DHS this build runs rather hot, overheats on therma or caustic within a few seconds. Wouldn't recommend just 11 DHS.

BNC-3S
2 Groups of 3 ML's, one chained, one grouped.
3rd group for AC and MPLs on Chain; AC & MLs open em up, and MPLs seek out their innards.
BNC-3E
ACs all in one group and grouped so that the staggered reload times effectively makes it a chain fire, and gives you good alpha capability.
MLs in 2 groups, both grouped for staggered fire of 10pts each.
BNC-3E
CritSeek McGee
ERLarges in 1 group, LBX group 2, MGs and MPLs in group 3 together.
ER's soften, LBX sands down and MGs and MPLs take their lives.

This fits better on an Atlas. Take an Atlas K with AC20+3xLL+2xAMS, STD350. More AMS and total zombie mode when your sides blow up.
