Ok, I didn't actually do the math before I posted, but 975 to 605 come on.

Well, that will be fixed when they implement 3-3-3-3. Worst case you'll go 795 vs. 600, or 195 ton difference.

We just have to sit tight until then.

Meh, the funny part is, the tonnage isn't much of an issue, the lack to skill lvl Elo matchmaking is the main problem with this game currently. We have an Average Maker right now, if it actually matched all 24 players the game quality would improve on all levels.

A team of all assaults and heavys vs a team of mediums and lights, the outcome would be the same no matter who was in that game. Tonnage limits is what we need, there's a reason why there's tonnage limits in competitions. Not just everyone bring whatever.

You are wrong man, not the first time that i win against a full assault-heavy drop with just a light drop. Yesterday for example in 12 man we did it.

It's certainly possible to win when grossly outweighed. It's just not very likely. You have a definite disadvantage when running a bunch of mediums vs. a stack of Assaults.

Not true, if everyone is of equal skill then all the mechs will be viable, its as simple as that.

Right now you have mechs with all levels of skill on the SAME battlefield. Makes for some very sad matches. This is the major flaw currently in the game. Its been that way since go and have yet to attempt to match skill in any way.

This. Also I would like to see screenshots of a team of all medium and lights vs a team of all assaults and heavys with the lighter team winning, specially in a 12.

You think that is bad? I'll show you bad... The might not have huge tonnage discrepancies but we have some matchmaker issues here.

Well, my corp did once win a 12-man running all Locusts.

It as also Crimson Strait Assault.

We capped their base.

That was my sole victory in a Locust, with a grand total of 5 matches played. What a worthless mech.

Haha,
Looks like Twinky was totally carrying that team. I've dropped both with and against him. He's legit.

Well, I thought I'd add two more screenshots with big weight discrepancies.

645 v 930 - 285 ton difference, in favor of the lighter team.
Spoiler

715 v 465 - 250 ton difference, in favor of the heavier team.
Spoiler

Had others, but these two had the largest difference between the teams.

You're in a 12 man group match.

Why not bring your own higher tonnage? There's no reason not to.

I believe next month we get the 3-3-3-3 system.

I don't think they had enough atlas's. Atleast you guys had some heavys to soak up damage on your team though.
