[At least I can shoot]

Hello I new on this game and my friends (who have been playing since "the old UI") told me about free premium for new players however referring to my previous point they don't know how to do it in the new UI can someone please help. (If I even get a week of free premium) Thank you

Go back to the sign up page and click on the download MWO link. Once you have done that a free day of premium time is applied (you can cancel the download then if you already have MWO)

Over the holidays they released the code "happyholidays" that gave out a weeks premium but I am unaware if that code is still valid here in march.

login to your profile page at www.mwomercs.com using your account information. once you are on your profile page you will see a tab near the top that says "redeem". click that redeem tab and enter the code HAPPYHOLIDAYS. this should still award you one free week of premium time. you will be able to activate your premium time once you enter the game again by clicking the activate premium time button.

happyholidays don't work anymore. Neither do you need to actually re-download the client. Once you click the download button the premium time ad will pop up with 2 others. Just click the ad. (I think they did that to "hide" the ads so you need to click another time if you wanted to d/l the client.)

In the UI, look at the bottom left, main screen. Click on "activate" and confirm to use it.

Thanks for the heads up draginir1. I expected them to nix nix the happyholidays code sooner or later in fact I was surprised it took as long as it did. Still OP you can still have a freebie day. I advise you play a few times WITHOUT activating it so you get the hang of the controls then when you feel semi confidant activate it over a weekend and blast through to maximise your earnings.

There was a free week available last December/January, it's no longer available.

you can collect one day of premium from the Download page. Be sure to have java enabled.

Also on the download page you do have to click the "free day of premium."
It'll say Offer redeemed when you have it.

No it doesn't. I tried to redeem after it was over.

Also, for the first 25 matches you get a cadet bonus, which gives you additional C-Bills (in game cash to put towards your first owned mech or equipment)

Is this still possible? I created a new account, I logged in here on the website, clicked on the download game button again, didn't see any pop-ups or anything, and then logged into the game and don't see any premium time anywhere.

Try hitting the "Activate" button in the botton left corner of your game client.

Yeah, I think they did delete that feature in the recent days, which sucks. At least that's what I've heard.

What am I supposed to see? Is there supposed to be a pop-up on the download page? Something I have to click on to claim this?

There used to be on the bottom of the downloads page ads of things, like the aforementioned 1 free day of premium time that you can redeem once, and a couple of other things. Sadly, it doesn't exist anymore unless I'm doing something wrong.

Unfortunately it seems that sometime last week despite how popular it was, the free day of premium for new players seems to have disappeared entirely.
