Reading peoples posts....yeah why on earth would they want to be on a marketplace that has millions of gamers....
might take a cut on money spent but then youll probably more than make up for it with all the additional players.
I actually didn't know this game existed, until I heard people comparing it to Hawken, which is on steam, and I heard this on he steam forums.
Anywhoo...yah free games on steam...just a few clicks away from easy impulse spending...since your CC info is saved and buying is easy...just sayin...I don't make it a habit of filling out CC forms for every free games 3rd party processing company...but on steam its so damn easy that I tend to impulse a hell of a lot more.
Also, im kinda new her (well super new) are the devs boneheads or something? Im seeing a trend here in posts referring to them...

Wha?
You can install/attach non-Steam games through Steam. It will reference you are playing said game to others in your Steams friends list. Now if you go to another computer and install Steam it will not be there as it is not available through steam.

If they release on steam feature complete with decent balance and a working matchmaker then it will be good for the game...
If they hurriedly launch in steam in a state it is today then I would start doubting the long - term viability....

This is an internet rule:
If there is an online game, the devs of that game are boneheads.
From my perspective, no not really, compared to most devs. But there are plenty of people upset at them, I don't take the game too seriously though, so I have a skewered perspective.

That being said, I agree with CyberMau's guess that the exposure and increased playerbase would probably be worth it. I hope they go this route, but only after CW is released and the game more fleshed out.
Cheers

One reason I like playing through Steam is because I can easily take screenshots (mapped to Weapon Group 4 ) and also I like that my buddies on Steam see it and get curious.
And now a few more friends play on Steam

You can find all arguments, pro and contra steam in there. Sometimes in very heated discussions. Some threads are older then even the start of the closed beta.
