So, according to the Patch Notes, JJs got their long needed redesign, with thrust now being linear, meaning the days of the single JJ poptart should in theory be over, and the Mechs like the Griffin and SPD-5K with massive numbers of JJs actualyl see more pronounced benefits for their use of max JJs (though for those who actually knew how to use them, near Max JJs were ALWAYS a good thing). Further, Jjs and their airiel twist rate are supposed to hvae been changed by Class, so that Lights are the same as ever, Mediums a little slower to tiwst, but Heavies being notably slower and Assaults postiviely "glaicial" to eliminate the instatwist Assault Poptarting.

Since I tend to run near max JJs anyhow, I haven't noticed much difference, except in my Highlander, but I spend way more time in my Mediums and Ember, so I can't say for sure. Have seen notedly less Poptarts in my matches for the last 24 hours, but dunno if that is just luck, or if the JJ nerfs actually hit them where it hurt. (hoping for the latter).

Would be nice for those touting the "Church of Skill" to have to "L2P" finally! :P

My VTR-DS "Meta Slayer" hasn't seen much of a difference, and it only carries 2 jets. The only thing I do notice is the slow cooldown of jets now, which basically just makes it so you have to wait longer between poptart-shots.

Personally, I've seen just as many poptarts as before, and perhaps more of them are Highlanders. They're probably testing the change.

I have not noticed a difference. My firestarters still feel nice and mobile, and I have not run my shawks out of the stable yet.

I saw much fewer Poptarting highlanders aswell, same amount of victors though but they are easier to deal with.

My HM seems just fine with it's 2JJ's; though in all honesty those are there more for mobility than poptarting anyways.

The patchnotes (and my OP) specifically stated no difference would be felt by lights, aside from linear distance to for number of JJs.

imho if the entire jumping event happened 2-3+ times faster or more that might make jumpsniping a lot harder to aim well with. less time to fire with 0 shake, smaller window of opportunity, & makes you harder to hit like in btech.

jets overall seem better. highlander can actually jump double hieght on victor according to raw #'s now.

I wouldnt mind seeing just a tad more oopmph to the jets in general still though.

overall a step in the right direction.

I've noticed that my HM (5jj's) that gets MUCH higher distance now. I can jump over into the mountains on mordor. hellab jumps. and I'm not maxed on them! also my recharge -seems- faster.

I agree completely. I'd love to see Jump Jets have reduced fuel burn time but more thrust - so jump height remains the same, but happens much more quickly. Not only would it make poptarting harder as you said (though particularly skilled players would actually be better off, as the shorter hang time would work in their favour), it would make Jump Jets feel more fun. At least for me
