Hey all, just bought a CTF-4X yesterday and thought of a few builds, looking for advice. I only have an XL 235 and am not willing to buy a new engine, please keep that in mind. Thanks in advance!

Well the only problem I have with them really is the engine. It does move very slow but if you can get around it then by all means play them as is.

I have a few builds of this here. This one does not make full use of the mech this was used back when Ultra AC5 was broken

The next is a build with your engine in it see if you like it.

4AC/5 is still your best option. XL255 is a nice little upgrade but not much different.

Standard sniper: 2xGauss+2xML
Standard dakka: 4xAC5+2xML

No, the torso LL is not worth the speed decrease.

Quad AC5, without a doubt. The best way to run the mech. XL 255 is better, but you can run this with your engine

Or you can even do this:-)
2 ac10s,2 mgs, 2 medium lasers and a srm4
You can sub in lbx10s for the standard ac10s and add more ammo or heatsinks to taste.:-)

I'll throw another vote in for the 4ac5 build, that's how I ran it when I still owned one, just think of an ac-20 with longer range and faster projectile speed, if you get in a brawl chain fire them and keep your opponent rattled.
One build I never tried but I'm kind of curious of how effective 2ac5s and 2 ac2s would be.
