Is it wrong that I think this would be fun:

Slow? Yes.
Hot? Yes.
Impractical? Maybe.

Ghost heat is a major issue but it should be able to alpha at least once and still be able to fire the 5s while cooling (you lose a bit of engine + arm armor and add another sink or ammo + arm armor to add more engine and a sink but there is very little wiggle room). Of course it doesn't need to alpha all the time either, it could very well just do so on occasion, for the most part relying on smaller weapon groupings and AC fire.

Thoughts?

I'd rather try triple LL instead and a bigger engine.  but that's me. larges can be changed too to avoid the gimp heat

don't get only 11 pts in the arms. Yes, they are shields. But those shields are not absorbing much damage.

Well you could take some out of the legs and stuff it in the arms but frankly, as I haven't been able to pilot this mech yet I can't say if the arms are good shields or not. From a conceptual standpoint I am going with low armor arms and maxed legs, at least until I see it in action and know for certain how much damage they take in matches. I've been able to get away with little to no armor in some mechs so far because it doesn't matter how much you twist and turn in them they just don't seem to get shot in the arms much.

I am thinking it may end up something like this: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...fe5fe4205dc5249

But I can't know until I get out there and start getting shot. Who knows I may just end up keeping the arms low, shedding leg armor and ammo for another sink and more engine; something like a 300 and 2 heat sinks.

arms are hugely important on this mech. With them, it tanks damage very very well. I have run an XL in mine and do it quite nicely. Without an XL, chances are high that the low speed and atrocious turn rate will get you killed far faster than having an XL in it.

At least that is my experience.

I get the appeal of 3 PPCs and 3 AC/5s, but I think I'd rather drop a PPC and make the Mech more well-rounded. Upgrade to a standard 300, add a couple heat sinks, add a ton of armor to each shield arm, and your heat problems should pretty much disappear.

If I wanted a well-rounded mech I would have built it that way.

No, this build is meant to be full-******, or at least as close as I am willing to go, if could fit another PPC in there I would.

I know right! I think this thing has the biggest arm to mech size ratio. When I get an incoming missle warning I look up and away and most of the LRMs impact my arm its great.
