Maybe I missed the sign out front of the 'techs hanger, but I didn't know the guy offering to STRIP MY MECH in order to make it easier for me to recofigure was doing just that...STRIPPING IT. I notice, after (unfortunately) many uses of this function, that the items stripped apparantly don't find their way back into my storage container in the 'mech bay, rather they find their way into the back of said 'techs hovertruck.
I don't know if this is the intended result designed by our intrepid PGI 'techs, but it sure does suck finding that those XL engines aren't hanging around in inventory... let alone all the weapons/equipment that have vaporized.
Thanks for the cool button, guys.

I'm not sure how many c-bills worth of gear I've lost, but it is in the millions. I don't have an LRM left to my name, and I used to have several of each.... poof, gone. I'm missing 2 XL engines, and I'm not sure how many standards that I've stripped out over time. ER Lasers...gone. ER PPCs... stolen. Anybody know where a struggling mechwarrior can buy PGI insurance?

Did you quit game and reload? Often program seems to delay in returning items inventory.

Used that function several times.
Found have to hit checkout to save mech before items show in inventory.
Have personally never noticed anything go missing though.

Scary.
I have only used it for Modules, and I've never had one of those go missing so far.

I had used the Strip Mech button, and saw that same exact thing, but reverted the changes on exit. I don't currently see a way to test it without the risk of losing a mech's worth of gear. I will manually dissasemble my mechs until further confirmation.

Weird bug, tried it out and stripping works just fine for me. Loaded some srms, mlas and unused engines into some locusts, checked out, stripped, checked out, everything where it was supposed to be, no change in numbers. Did that several times.
If your gear is still missing you should contact support (this is not it), maybe they can help you get your stuff back.
