Its not just DX11 that sucks for me , DX9 and all setting as I had them and I am still losing 10-15 fps off my average and frequently hitting -20 never had this happen before.

Ghosting eeffect on mechs which i never seen before.
When busy:
Pre patch : 30-35
Post: 15-25

I have tried every possible workaround and nothing works.

Who is in the same boat as me I can't really play it properly now.

right after the patch I could set the game to DX11 (Very High), restart the client and play with 60fps (vsync on) without any issue.

Today the Mechlab(!) is down to 30fps on low settings, even with DX9. In a match it drops to 15fps if I just face in the general direction of a lance.
Running the repair tool didn't help.

Try to monitor your GPU in game. My GPU was running at 700-800mhz and it should run at 1250mhz. After forcing high performance in the Nvidia control panel I am back up to 1150 but It never BOOSTs to 1250mhz anymore?

While this has made it playable for me again FPS is still down on both DX9/11

have you tried using my low-end user config?

ghosting is an ATI problem, you should email support@mwomercs.com

They have definitely messed with DX9 as well... FPS performance does feel a bit lower but not as bad as DX11.
Any one else here getting the green smoke problem ?

Tried my older highFPS .cfg´s plus all the newer ones ... FPS drops still reamains in either DX9 or DX11 ... and those drops are absolutely brutal, that new music everyone is jizzing off to is nothing compared to it ;)

I have been getting cycling in my fps from low 20s to low 40s and back. Instead of getting the big server location de-sync where you suddenly appear 20 meters from where you thought you were, I'm getting frequent stuttering and little de-syncs a lot.

OP, What hardware are you running and OS? If it's an ati card try completely uninstalling the video drivers and installing the most current (not beta) drivers. follow the instructions on ATI's website. you could also check for bios updated for your video card, but use this as a last resort. also note in win7 that yes you do have a basic version of DX9 that comes installed with the os but not the most up to date version sloppy work by MS imho.

Happened to me too. I rarely dipped below 35 FPS before. Now I'm getting kicked down to the 20s.

Dunno what the heck happened, since the previous few patches have never mucked with my FPS.

Yup, green smoke in thermo. Massive fps drops in maps like frozen city.

Good patch.

Hey guys, I've had this same problem after the patch. I was averaging 75-85 during games on all max out settings, and suddenly im playing with 45 and sometimes as low as 25 (when smoke comes out of my mech on manifold)

I asked people in game what to do and one guy spoke to me out of the game and told me what to do and it fixed it.

Simple as this, look up MWO repair tool, it will take you to a forum. Download the .exe file. Move the file to your MWO directory into the folder Bin32. Now run the file, before you run the scan go to the options tab under RUN and check the last box related to systemoveride.cfg (all those that are either pre checked or not leave alone)

Now just run the repair tool.

After it's done (5 minutes - 10 minues) simply close out and run the game. I got all my FPS back. Hope it helps.
