Well those turrets will almost 1-shot locust...
but Victor and Catapult... without enemy mechs helping those turrets... baaaad pilots.

I took out 2 turrets in my STK-5S with 5 medium lasers.

Well, this wasn't River City. It was on caustic and there were ~7 turrets within the perimeter around their base. Without ECM cover, those LRM turrets screw us up pretty bad. There's not much cover on the approach to the base, so we were more-or-less forced to take the turrets head-on. Half way through clearing the turrets an enemy Firestarter came to stop us. Between the damage we already sustained, his MG's, and the remaining 3 turrets, we all got wiped out.

Sure, you can call us bad pilots, but I don't think I'm wrong in pointing out that the turrets are a bit much for the game at the moment. Their power is fine, but their quantity is not. There should be half as many as there are.

i like the idea of the turrets, but they are kind of invasive in the battle - the turrets should be defending the cap point itself, not going out on all out offensive mode and helping either team in deciding the battle

turrets should stay asleep until someone tries to cap the enemy base, in which case they would wake to defend it - and not go back to sleep

Sadly, even had there been no turrets, the Locust still would have died. Probably by tripping over one of the pipes or a rock.

Sadly, turrets doing their job says that the mode is really just skirmish, I like that they tried something new with the game, but sadly it just reinforced the mentality of kill the other 12 mechs is the right plan.

Funny...I never hear about turrets killing Spiders...and they say the hitbox issues with them are fixed...

If you make em to weak they are pointless, if they are too strong people will never attack the enemy base.

May be turrets weren't such a great idea...
