Paul, You were right, you took the nerf gun to the HGN...but only the HGN. If the intent was to move everyone over to Victors, then mission accomplished. If the intent was to stop jump sniping, then gg close but sorry.

For HGN, the total height is the same with one JJ but the climb rate is mega-nerfed. I don't understand why the patch notes say that it "scales" but the fact is one JJ still allows you to climb very high...just with HGN it takes soooo long it is hopeless and no more sniping. 2 JJ? Still hopeless. I have not bothered to try 4 JJ cuz 8 tons ain't worth it compared to taking a different chassis.

So now Victor and 3D are untouched and with 1 JJ can pop tart away.

What exactly the was the plan here?

AFAIK, the notable change is the JJ recharge. To me, the turn rate has not actually been adjusted at all, but I need to test this more to be sure.

maybe the victor and 3D need some more nurfing? :)

i find the difference noticeable. you cant pop and shoot in series as often either, lift is a lot less.

Seems like that was the point. Making you take 4 JJs thus using 8 tons if you still want to poptart, go ahead itll just cost you more engine, DHS, weapon types, or ammo. Victors do seem to be penalized some, but not to the extent of the highlanders.

The plan was to appear to be fixing things without actually addressing the issue.

Jumpjets should have x300% more thrust for about half duration.

You can only activate jumpjets if you have 50% or more thrust.

Now they are useful for what they are intended for, getting around terrain. Not creating good year blimps.

Hey if you can nail someone in mid air with those speeds, good on you.

I don't think the lift is affecting me that much, but it's there.

I get the 8 tons for HGN intent but 3D is untouched and will now be the pop tart meta of choice followed close by Victor which is mostly untouched. I am surprised it is so heavily pointed to HGN but not fixing the underlying issue of poptarting meta. [redacted}

That's fine, 3D is fragile so if you can get a brawler on close you can eat them up. We don't want poptarting to go away completely just to weaken it to the point there are effective counter strategies that don't involve jumping sniping better

Highlanders are so dang tough getting in close to fight them was a bad idea but staying out just made you poptart food. Now when you get in close to the ultra tough HGN he may have trouble keeping up with you thanks to reduced turn speed in jump. Yes it was the same axial speed as when rotating on ground at a stop but you could do it while still moving in the original jump direction and that made a big diference if you knew how to work it.

This change is good.

Yeah, you can go higher but it will take a while to get into air, I think they nerfed HGN really badly, I dont see point use hgn anymore, which is good actually :)

Well in a few days i think we wont see hgn anymore, only victors and 3Ds but they usually wear XL so, and Im pretty sure they will nerf them as hgn also ;)

But IMO they could just put restrictions on hgn,victor and ctf with acs and ppcs, because I loved my 2xUAC5, 2ML,3xSRM6 733C, now is gone lol

But in all, they did good job on nerf :D

I'll admit, I'm working my Griffins right now, so I haven't tried my Assaults yet......and, my HGNs aren't poptarts, so...we'll see, I guess.

What I CAN tell you is that this whole "JJ tweak" thing has brought every moron out there with a cheese poptart build out of the woodwork to try it out to see if it still works.....

And, guess what? It does.

From the standpoint of a target, I'm telling you that there is no difference at all. GG Close, PGI, GG Close.

Dont think yall get it, get it at all. They left "SOME" Poptarting in, (Victors / 3D's) but you your brawling capability (turn on a dime with JJ) is DED. Highlanders got hit hard. They will have to take max JJ to do what they did, and only be mediocre due to travel speed.

Some will adapt, some wont. This is where a new "META" will be formed and ppl will cry about it and ask for the NERF bomb cause they get rolled by a new tactic or weapon being deployed against them.

Victors turn a lot slower with jump jets now. More of a jump brawling nurf though.

They all do, that was the main intent, to stop them from being good at everything.

But the problem was not jump brawlers but jump snipers. But the Victor still works pretty well for that. Where before it was like an 80 ton ninja now its like a fatter slower ninja haha.

yeah for sure i already prepared my new cheezzz we still missing a huge assault and heavy turn speed nerf

Honestly, I'm not feeling much of a difference. My Meta Slayer with only 1 jet seemed to handle similar to before (perhaps a tiny reduction?) and swapping 1 DHS for a second jet makes it feel just like it used to.
