But I'm not seeing the thread pop up on the forums anymore... (AKA: I don't know where it is, the search feature isn't the greatest, and I was hoping it would show up as "recently posted in" on the front page of the forums.)
Was hoping to join for a few hours... but now it's almost time to call it a night. I wish to get some drawing done.

Anyone is welcome - they even took me in (though I have yet to be able to make one)
Back on topic though....
I have never actually finished Primarch or Captain difficulties for DoW2 - and I am starting to think I never will.
RNG hates me for that.
Those two scale the damage values for the enemy so high - armor is literally useless - and since there is RNG in their shots - even cover is no guarantee of anything.
Defensive mission and I watched my whole team blown away in ~3 salvos from a group of Tyranid Warriors.
In a BUNKER even.
(as in - I was in the bunker)
Which is frustrating, because the other difficulties are too easy.
(and for Retribution - even the higher difficulties are flat easy - but that one lets you bum-rush enemies with infinite troops )
Edit: Two/To/Too
One day I shall get them straight.

Yeah Primarch difficulty is when the game takes off the gloves and pulls up a paddle wrapped with barbed wire. My friend and I were doing a primarch run for DOW2 as co-op. Not easy. The HP on the bosses gets to ridiculous numbers. Ulkair has a 7-8 digit HP bar. Kyras has even more. It's insane. You HAVE to use everything, and pull all the stops.

I know it is insane - that is half the fun! (I play touhou too, for similar reasons)
And I do pull out the stops - but you cannot just chuck everything from the get-go
Especially on defensive missions - which is where it gets REALLY nerve wracking
Which is where I keep getting stuck - those T-Warriors were outside my range (still fairly early) and I had a small horde of gaunts to blast through to get to them - they took out my Jump squad in the first salvo - Mid Air!
(who I had jumped over to try and slow them down)
Next salvo took out Cyrus and the FC - third took out Avitus.
Boom.
Mission failed.
First time that run too.
Usually they miss a few times (that was the third set of Warriors to show up) but NOOOOOOooooo
Every replay - same result. (edit: if at different times /edit)
Finally threw that save out the window (hadn't really gotten any decent drops in it anyways - part of the problem there)

Its pricey and the new IG got certain units nerfed because they may have out performed Special Marines equivalents.
Oh, and the new command set. I do NOT like that new commander.
