In the last two patches, I've been getting randomly assigned to be company commander during matches, and occasionally lance commander when there is already a commander. I don't open the battlegrid, don't click the button on the start of round scoreboard, and as a matter of fact, it usually happens when I am in the middle of combat early on in the round. I'm guessing I am not the only one getting this, based on how many people I see who get command and then immediately resign it in games I'm playing as well.

As far as I can tell this isn't a 100% causal link, but it frequently happens when I push spacebar while not using chat; currently, that's my jump jet key.

This is hardly a game-breaking bug, but it is obnoxious and I didn't see a thread about it here.
